Overview

The Logistics Support Manager is responsible for the supporting functions of the warehouse operations.  Primary role includes leading cycle counting program, maintain inventory accuracy, and quality control.  The incumbent also provides leadership and supervision to salary and hourly members of the Logistics Team.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

 

  • Manage and plan daily cycle count activities
  • Maintain and report daily auditing activities to ensure inventory and shipping accuracy
  • Manage quality staff to ensure quality inspections are being done and necessary follow up is being completed – customers notified, claims processed, etc.
  • Investigate discrepancies between physical part quantities and system quantity to determine root cause of error
  • Coordinate with transportation companies and A/S purchasing for all inbound freight and conduct freight negotiations, resolve any freight issues and conduct cost savings
  • Prepare necessary inventory reports to report to upper management and HQ
  • Coordinate meetings with related departments to improve communication and a consensus decision-making approach
  • Build and maintain the trust and confidence of Logistics Team and fellow RDC management
  • Provide leadership and supervision to Logistics Support Team Members to include time and vacation management, coaching, performance management, teambuilding, and training
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required and preferred for this position.)

 

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Statistics, or related field
  • 4 or more years of experience in a Supply Chain Management role in a distribution environment
  • 4 years of experience in a supervisory role

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in both Korean and English
  • Good communication, analytical, and technical skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to make good decisions and take decisive action in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision

 

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Inventory Experience
  • Automotive industry experience

 

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:

  • Six Sigma certification preferred

 

Working Conditions:

  • 95% Office; 5% Floor
  • 20% Domestic/ International Travel
