Basic Qualifications

Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field. OR
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in environmental, health, and safety leadership roles, five plus years of Supervisor or Management experience
- Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing effective EHS programs and initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in EHS management systems, software applications, and reporting tools.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing automotive environment is preferred.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Profound understanding of state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Expertise in OSHA and EPA standards
- Familiarity with ISO 14001/45001 standards and audit expectations
- Aptitude to assess adverse conditions and make decisive decisions
- Capability to establish annual performance goals and objectives
- Competency in reading and interpreting new and existing construction blueprints
- Experience in departmental budgeting and manpower planning
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Working Conditions
- This position primarily operates in an office setting but may require consistent walking and standing on the shop floor. Responds to in-plant emergencies 24/7.
