Ensure positive working environment by assisting the Molding Operators and effectively communicating work instructions from the Management Team.
- Conduct or participate in team and safety meetings and promote safety within the workplace
- Ensure that all production Team Members’ equipment and work stations are cleaned daily
- Ensure production Team Members have the proper tools and equipment to perform their jobs
- Ensure that product defects are repaired, minimized and returned to proper location
- Monitor product inventory and communicate with material handling
- Assist the machine operators to ensure production continues without compromising cycle time or the creation of downtime.
- Create and maintain a positive working environment that supports having a non-union workplace
- Provide guidance and on-the-job-training (OJT) to production Team Members
- Meet daily production goals through continuous improvement and teamwork
- Provide solutions and alternative methods for resolving day-to-day production issues
- Consistently communicate to Team Members on expectations, performance and any changes
- Provide and maintain necessary daily production data and reports
- Seek opportunities for improvement (OFI) in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery
- Support company values and goals to establish a world class organization
- Utilize all quality tools and support total-quality-management (TQM) within the workplace
- Ensure that all work is performed within specification of work instructions, KIP’s, quality standards, and quality alerts if posted.
- Ensure that all 3R5S guidelines are being maintained and followed.
- Obtain working knowledge of all molded product by part and quality issues associated with parts.
- Ensure that the overtime equalization policy is followed regarding overtime for Team Members, which includes keeping accurate records/ documentation needed for charting overtime equally for Team Members.
- Ensure that the production early out procedure is always followed when Team Members are released early due to lack of production.

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus 3 years in manufacturing
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Ability to make good decisions and take decisive action in a fast-paced environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Education & Experience:
Associates degree in business or a related discipline plus 2 years in manufacturing
Automotive assembly, JIT, 5’S, Team Building and Lean Practices experience
