Overview

Role Overview

The Plastics Process Control Specialist is responsible for coordinate BOM, planning, monitoring and managing the Molding/Paint production plan, shipping plan, and trucks in route to Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama and KIA Motors Manufacturing Georgia plants.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.) 

  • Coordinate Plastics BOM with customer BOM with communication (using both Korean/English) to HKMC/MOBIS Korean designer.
  • Monitor the status of all lines of production and manage utilization of each line
  • Contact relevant parties when an issue arises and inform them of what the issue is and the status
  • Manage pattern times of all lines of production
  • Reporting counter measures on specific downtime issues
  • Planning and communicating with other members of production control about any significant changes in production plan and/or downtimes
  • Support team members with inventory management
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly Production/ Downtime and Production reports
  • Support for Controlling Production/Inventory of Plastic Division.
  • Support of Production Plan Management of Plastic Division.
  • Provide solutions and alternative methods for resolving incorrect specifications in production line or unexpected production plan changes.
  • Support the testing and integration of new parts and models for production
  • Provide necessary communication (using both Korean/English) and support to the customer/supplier with Pilot/SOP planning data
  • Maintain good communication (using both Korean/English) with all departments and customers relating to Pilot/SOP build.
  • Provide well-established communication (using both Korean/English) to customers, Research and Development, suppliers, and all related departments
  • Comply with and promote safety in the workplace
  • Prompt, regular, predictable attendance
  • Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours
  • Overtime and weekend work as required
  • All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

AUTHORITY & SCOPE

This role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escalate matters as required

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in both Korean and English

 

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management SCM, MIS or related field; or Equivalent related experience in automotive manufacturing or production planning

Working Conditions:

  • 90% office, 10% production floor
  • Overtime as needed
  • Flexible Schedule (2nd shift, 3rd shift)
